CREATE YOUR OWN ICONS OF YOUR OWN CHOICE

Till now, I think no one has find the importance of ICONS of your PCs.We are happy with the icons we get in machine when we install it.We never thought that it can have sentimental attachment with our feelings ? Well just imagine that sometimes we have picture collection of our beloved ones,picture of new born baby,your own music collection,own videos.But the sad part is, we still running with all of those collections have icons that is in built in PCs.

What if we all have collection of Icons made by us ? Sounds glad ? Yes,below is the lesson with which you all be able to create your own Icons to represent your unforgettable memories that you stored in your PCs.The best part is that to create icons you need not to be professional graphic designer.Just have to download a free software and your free time.  

SO lets get started with downloading the needed software.

DOWNLOAD SibCode ICON EDITOR FOR FREE : Using this software you able to create and edit Icons in standard and custom sizes accompanying 16 million colors.

Step-by-Step points to learn to create Icons :

Soon after installing SIB software make run it.Press File button on Menu bar.After click on ‘ Create Icon from Image ‘. This will ask for the image location in your PC.Select an image you like to create as an Icon as JPG or JPEG in File types as shown below :

Press open and edit your Icon :

Start editing your Icon as it have many options to deal with as shown above.After finishing required customization press OK button.

Now save the processed file to your desired location using File->Save As.From now the Extension of your Icon is ‘ ICO ‘.This ICO file is useful to set your own Icons to your folders.

Now change your Folder Icons as shown below :

Right click on the folder you would like to change the Icon and go to Properties.

Now go to the Customize tab as shown and click on the Change Icon button shown as in below Dialogue box.


Now select your created Icon from the path you kept it.
 
Now press OK button,and you will have your own created Icon displaying on the folder as shown below.
